Hello and Welcome!
I’m Danielle DeMartini: illustrator, graphic designer, artist.

I draw inspiration from many sources: the soft emotion of the Romantic period, the high drama of the Baroque, and the intricate details of the Northern Renaissance. With my pen and stylus I mix together these inspirations, creating my own finely-honed blend. I actively work to carve out feelings stories and nostalgia in my illustrations, giving the viewer reason to pause and reflect. My interest in story telling and long-time appreciation for graphic novels has thrust me into the world of comic making with collaborations and independent projects.

While Adobe Photoshop is my main tool of creation, I am also proficient in Illustrator and InDesign. I have a knack for emulating artistic styles and love to experiment with my own styles.

Hailing from the foggy and redwood-laden coast of Northern California, I’ve grown up surrounded by landscapes, architecture, and people who have captured my imagination and inspired much of my art. I am a graduate of Humboldt State University with a degree in Studio Art and a minor in Asian Aspects of Philosophy.

Currently I am employed as a graphic designer while freelancing for illustration and comics, graphic design, and Volusion web design and database management.
